Local Area Coordinators

I have had two very friendly LACs, easy to contact, and willing to help me understand the funding and NDIS process. It has helped reduce any nervousness that I have had around the whole process.

Starting your journey

If you are living with a disability or caring for someone living with a disability, our Local Area Coordinators (LACs) are friendly, caring people who can connect you with support and services in your community.

Our LACs are qualified and experienced in working with people with disabilty and their support networks. In many cases, they have lived experience too.

Their aim is to help people aged from 9-65 years achieve their individual goals, big and small.

We do this in partnership with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).

NDIA Partner in the Community
Baptcare is a NDIA Partner in the Community, and we can help you create a support plan and assist you to find the right supports and opportunities in your community.

If you are (or think you might be) eligible to access National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), we can help you with that too. Find out more about your eligibility.

Am I eligible?
What can you expect from our LAC?
Our LACs are experienced, friendly, kind and understanding. They’ll take the time to speak with you, understand your unique situation and needs.

We have helped thousands of people living with disabilities of all kinds to connect with services, programmes and people in their community. Services are free, so call to find out more.

Will a LAC give me practical help?
Your LAC is there to support you. They’ll spend time getting to know you, understand your unique needs, goals and what you’d like to improve or change in the future.

They’ll then help you make a plan to access the supports
and services you need to help you achieve those goals.

If you are eligible (or think you are eligible) for NDIS funding, they will help you organise that too as part of
your plan.
