Connected with our local community
Because our team truly cares about the community and spirit of Norlane, we chose to develop a specialised hub alongside our aged care facility. You can connect and engage with community groups, spend time with our committed volunteers, enjoy the nearby gardens and courtyards, or join one of our regular bus outings to local places of interest.
Room to host family and friends
Above all, Amberlea is your home, so your friends and family are always welcome here. You can choose to spend time with them in our beautiful shared areas, or we also have private function rooms that you can book for special occasions.
Pastoral care is an important part of life at all Baptcare communities, including Amberlea. Our chaplains are available to listen to residents and their families and journey alongside them, whatever their background or situation. We offer emotional and spiritual support, honouring each person’s unique spirituality and how they find meaning and purpose. Our chaplains also assist with prayer, worship, sacraments and other spiritual practices, including regular devotional and church services where appropriate.

Baptcare Amberlea is located in Drouin, a town in the West Gippsland region of Victoria, 90 kilometres east of Melbourne. The town forms part of a combined urban area that includes Warragul.
Drouin is home to a number of attractive parks and gardens. Right in the town centre, between the railway station and across the road from shops on Princes Way, are the landscaped gardens of Memorial Park with its war monument. Civic Park, bordering the northern end of the town's commercial centre, is set in a picturesque valley, complete with a lake, rotunda and recreational facilities.
Drouin holds an annual Ficifolia Festival. Ficifolia are the flowering gum trees which occur throughout the town. This celebration includes the town gathering in the main street of Drouin and watching the local schools and participating businesses showcase who they are and what they do.
Drouin's large retail stores include a Woolworths supermarket and a Coles supermarket. Other businesses in the town include fast food businesses, hairdressers, restaurants, Tattersall's, and Westpac Bank.
Several of the local businesses have relocated in recent times from the southern side of the shopping precinct on Princes Way (next to the railway station), due to land acquisition for the construction of a multistory retail shopping complex.
The local hospital is West Gippsland Hospital located in Warragul.
Neighbouring Drouin are Warragul West, Longwarry and Ripplebrook.
