We are committed to offering the best residential aged care in Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula, and each day we provide exceptional care to our residents as if they are our own loved ones. Our residents’ families are a valued part of our community, and we encourage families to spend time in our lovely shared spaces and join in with activities when they visit. We have a busy social calendar and comfortable communal areas, so residents regularly get together and enjoy each other’s company, building the strong connections that make Peninsula View really feel like home.
Extraordinary friendships
At Peninsula View, we have a special initiative where young adults with intellectual disabilities visit our residents. There is always plenty of fun and laughter during these visits, from games of carpet bowls and balloon volleyball to group Tai Chi sessions and singalongs. This ongoing, regular program allows our residents to build new friendships and special bonds, and cements our connection with the broader local community.
Designed for enjoyment
During our recent major refurbishment, we focused on creating spacious communal areas that are easy to access and enjoy. Sunshine filters through the large windows and skylights in our dining and recreation areas, where wide tables and cushioned dining seats provide inviting places to sit and relax. Bedrooms and shared areas are fitted with wooden floorboards and tasteful furnishings, creating a contemporary feel. We have cosy spots as well – you can grab a book from our collection and set yourself up on a lounge chair near one of our fireplaces. And we’ve made sure that there are plenty of settings to enjoy those beautiful peninsula days, with internal courtyards, landscaped gardens and lots of comfortable outdoor seating.
Innovations that make a difference
We keep up with the latest innovations in aged care so that our residents receive the best care possible. For example, we communicate directly with our residents’ doctors and pharmacists through an electronic medication system to ensure medication safety. And with easy-to-reach nurse call buttons in residents’ bedrooms and bathrooms, you can rest assured that assistance is never far away.
A place where you can feel at home
Our spacious community is set among leafy surrounds, just off the Mordialloc Highway. With 102 rooms, including four double rooms, we cater for all levels of care requirements (low to high). Most rooms have garden or courtyard views, and some look out to Westernport Bay. We have plenty of shared spaces too. Indoors, residents can spend time in our lounges, sitting and dining rooms, or in the library. For some fresh air and sunshine, residents can choose between courtyards, verandahs, terraces and gardens.
Other amenities we have on-site for your convenience include a hairdressing salon and laundry services.

Your room is your own space, so we invite you to decorate it to your own taste, e.g. by hanging paintings or bringing in your favourite quilt.

Peninsula View is a residential aged care community that excels in providing support to those requiring a higher level of care. With registered nurses on-site at all times, Peninsula View is accredited to provide all levels of residential aged care including permanent, respite and palliative care. Each resident will have a personalised care plan, which will be developed together with the resident and their family.

Stay involved with the local community
Along with our special friendships with young adults from Wallara and Naranga School, we have many other connections with the extended community. An annual highlight is when local school children visit to sing Christmas carols to our residents, and we are often treated to concerts by other visiting groups. We also have our own bus, which we use regularly for special trips and outings to local attractions so our residents can enjoy the beauty that the surrounding area has to offer.

Above all, Peninsula View is your home, so your friends and family are always welcome here. You can choose to spend time with them in our beautiful shared areas, or we also have private function rooms that you can book for special occasions.
Pastoral care
Pastoral care is an important part of life at all Baptcare communities, including Peninsula View. Our chaplains are available to listen to residents and their families and journey alongside them, whatever their background or situation. We offer emotional and spiritual support, honouring each person’s unique spirituality and how they find meaning and purpose. Our chaplains also assist with prayer, worship, sacraments and other spiritual practices, including regular devotional and church services where appropriate.

What are the visiting hours?
As part of providing a warm and homely environment to residents, visitors are welcome at any time of the day. We invite family and friends to be part of activities and mealtimes, and to enjoy time with their loved one in our gardens and shared spaces.
How do I know if residential aged care is right for my family member?
A change in health, or increasing concern about your family member’s frailty, safety or isolation at home can mean that aged care accommodation is the next step.
Carers at aged care homes can help residents with day-to-day tasks (such as cleaning, cooking, laundry); personal care (such as dressing, grooming, going to the toilet); or 24-hour nursing care (such as wound care or catheter care).
Residential aged care can also help people to stay connected with interests and with others.

We consider a number of factors to manage our waiting lists. People in urgent need are the highest priority. Other factors include someone’s readiness to enter an aged care home, and if the accommodation that becomes available suits their individual care needs.
If you are offered a room and are not ready at that time you can decline the room without it affecting your position on the waiting list.
Can I bring my furniture and possessions?
Your suite is your own and you can personalise the room as much or as little as you wish.
For example you can hang pictures on the wall, use your own quilt from home, and bring in your favourite easy chair.
We do request that rooms are kept un-cluttered, with enough space for care staff to move freely about. For this reason, we don’t recommend bringing in large pieces of furniture.
What’s in the local area of Mornington Peninsula?
Baptcare Peninsula View is located on the Mornington Peninsula, south of Melbourne, Victoria. It is surrounded by Port Phillip to the west, Western Port to the east and Bass Strait to the south, and is connected to the mainland in the north.
The Mornington Peninsula is popular for natural attractions such as the variety of beaches both sheltered and open-sea and many scenic sights and views. Other popular attractions include the various wineries, mazes and the diverse array of water sports made available by the diversity of beaches and calm waters of Port Phillip and Western Port.
The Mornington Peninsula is one of four biosphere reserves in Victoria, the other three being national parks, and the only one with a resident population that reaches some 250,000 people during the peak tourist season.
The Mornington Peninsula is serviced predominantly by a network of roads. Public transport is limited to a bus service which services urban areas on the western shorelines and a train service for the eastern areas of the peninsula.
The Mornington Peninsula is a notable wine region, producing small quantities of high quality wine from around 60 wineries. While most varieties are grown, the cool, maritime climate of the Peninsula is particularly noted for pinot noir. Many wineries are open for public tastings and several have quality restaurants.
Mornington Central is a large shopping centre located in Mornington on Barkley Street with a full range of retail and grocery shops.

Who is eligible for a place at Peninsula View?
Peninsula View is a residential aged care community for older people who need a higher level of residential aged care than what can be provided in their own home. Places are available for government-funded residents.
How can I apply for a place at Peninsula View?
1. Apply for residential aged care through the My Aged Care website. Call 13 BAPTCARE (13 22 78) and we can guide you through the process.
2. My Aged Care will arrange an ACAS assessment visit to determine your care needs.
3. Appoint an authorised representative (Power of Attorney) if necessary.
4. Get an income and asset assessment. This will determine your aged care fees and whether you qualify for government funding.
5. Choose the Baptcare residential aged care community that’s right for you. You may wish to consider a respite stay to see if the community meets your needs.
6. Call 13 BAPTCARE (13 22 78) to arrange a tour of your chosen community and fill out an application form.
