Baptcare Chief Executive Graham Dangerfield announces his resignation

Graham Dangerfield has announced that he is stepping down as Chief Executive of Baptcare after a decade in the role.

Under Graham’s leadership, Baptcare has greatly expanded its work in the community, including new services and programs in the areas of family, children, disability and mental health; increased aged care offerings in residential homes, in-home care and retirement living options; invested in research for evidence-informed practices; expanded operations into South Australia; and doubled its stock of affordable housing through Baptcare Affordable Housing.

“It has been rewarding and humbling to lead an organisation that works collaboratively to make the world a better place for each person in the community,” Graham said. “I thank everyone at Baptcare for their contribution. Together, we have achieved so much towards our mission to partner with people for fullness of life, and I am excited about seeing the next chapter unfold under the leadership of a new Chief Executive.”

Graham started with Baptcare as General Manager Business Services in 2010, and his strong leadership qualities led to his appointment as Chief Executive in October 2012. With two decades of leadership experience and strong business acumen, Graham has guided the growth and transformation of Baptcare through a period of significant sector reform. He thanked his colleagues for their support and said he has been honoured to serve an organisation where staff, volunteers, and partners share a united commitment to the community.

Robina Bradley, Chair of the Baptcare Board, paid tribute to Graham’s service and achievements: “After thirteen years of committed service to Baptcare, Graham Dangerfield has informed me of his decision to resign from the position of Chief Executive. He has kindly offered to stay on while we commence a search for his successor. This means Graham will still be leading Baptcare over the coming months. I congratulate Graham on his significant contribution and service to Baptcare and thank him for his consistent hard work and diligence in all that he does.”

The Board will soon commence an executive search to select a new Chief Executive.
