Step 4 – Complete accreditation
To ensure the safety of children in care, part of the assessment will include Health Checks, National Police Check, Working with Children Check and a Home and Environment Check.
You will need to complete a list of different reference checks as well including a home and environment check to confirm your house will make a suitable home.
You will need to be accredited before becoming a foster carer. This involves several different accreditation assessments which will give you clearance to become a suitable foster carer.
We will provide support in completing each of these requirements.
