We are delighted to announce the successful completion of the BaptistCare BESTMED project, in which all Victorian and Tasmanian residential aged care homes transitioned to the BESTMED electronic medication management (EMM) system.
The rollout was fast-paced, moving these homes over to BESTMED in a matter of months between January and May this year.
Across these aged care homes now using BESTMED, we are successfully managing medications for more than 1600 residents, and we’ve trained over 1100 Victorian and Tasmanian employees to use BESTMED. More than 200 GPs can prescribe medication in the new system, and we now have six pharmacies packing and supplying medications for our residents in BESTMED.
This accomplishment would not have been possible without the dedication of our remarkable project team, comprising employees from both NSW and Victoria, and the enthusiastic support of the homes involved in this project. Each team welcomed us warmly and displayed a strong commitment to making the transition a success.
We would also like to thank BESTMED for their collaboration and support.
Congratulations to everyone involved in this transformative project! Your teamwork and dedication have set a new standard of excellence, and we are excited to see the continued benefits for our residents and employees through the BESTMED system.
