BaptistCare team member recognised at Tasmanian Disability Awards

Jonty Roberts has been recognised for making a meaningful difference in the community, taking home the Local Area Coordinator of the Year award at the 2026 Tasmanian Disability Awards.

Members of BaptistCare’s Tasmanian Partner in the Community (PITC) team attended the awards, which celebrate excellence, inclusion and achievement across Tasmania’s disability community.

The annual event brought together more than 500 guests and recognised more than 1,500 nominations, highlighting the outstanding contributions of individuals and organisations working across the disability sector.

In addition to Jonty’s win, several members of the Tasmanian PITC team were recognised through nominations in the Local Area Coordinator of the Year and Early Childhood Coordinator of the Year categories, including Georgia Babos, Harley Eastoe and Rhi Smith.

“It was a privilege to be recognised for the work that coordinators do day to day,” said Jonty. “It’s great to be part of a team that is so committed to helping people achieve the outcomes that matter most to them.”

Maggie Galbraith, PITC Service Area Manager, Local Area Coordination, said the recognition reflects Jonty’s commitment to supporting people to achieve their goals.
