Give support to a vulnerable child, like Danika
Help our Foster Carers cover the extra costs of looking after children - such as clothing, paying for gifts and leisure activities

Our 2025 Tax Appeal is focused on supporting our Foster and Kinship Care programs.
While Baptcare receives some government funding for these programs, additional support is needed to help our carers cover the extra costs of looking after children.
Last year, we supported 245 vulnerable children by providing placements in safe homes with carers to support them during their time of greatest need. Children like Danika*, who experienced a whirlwind of ten different respite homes, four during Christmas, when most children are happily celebrating with their families.
Noticing that Danika’s spirits were sinking, her Case Manager and Baptcare’s Foster Care Team were able to arrange for a fun-filled trip to Luna Park, despite no available funding to support this activity.
“It was the first thing Danika looked forward to in weeks and the joy and hope on her face was priceless,” said her Case Manager.
