Update: COVIDSafe settings to come into place at 11.59pm, Thursday 15 July
Last night, the Victorian Government has updated the restrictions across the entire state of Victoria. Specifically, throughout all of Victoria, commencing 11.59 pm Thursday, 15 July, the state will enter a phase of ‘Circuit Breaker Action.” You will find more information here.
What does this mean for you?
Due to the re-emergence of active COVID-19 cases in Victoria a range of new restrictions has been announced by the Victorian Government, effective as at 11.59 pm Thursday, 15 July 2021 to 11.59 pm Tuesday, 20 February 2021, the following applies specifically to care facilities:
- No visitors are permitted into aged care or residential facility settings unless they have a permitted exception
- Non-essential contractors are restricted from entry.
We are sensitive to the special circumstances of our residents, families and friends and are particularly sympathetic to those in end of life care. Please contact your Residential Care and Services Manager to discuss alternative options.
We understand this measure may be unsettling. We hope to reinstate visits once the restrictions are lifted. If you or your loved ones have any questions about visiting, please contact your local Residential Care & Services Manager.
How can I stay connected to my loved one?
We will continue to facilitate telephone, video or other means of electronic communication between residents and their families/carers. Virtual visits can be arranged by contacting your local residential aged care community.
Thank you for your patience, support and understanding as we work to manage the unfolding situation. We will keep in touch as the situation changes.
