Update: Brookview Community - Westmeadows, Victoria

Posted: 10 October 2020

Baptcare can confirm that as of 10 October 2020, no new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) have been diagnosed at Baptcare Brookview Community, Westmeadows, Victoria.

From midnight today, Baptcare Brookview Community will move into ‘enhanced surveillance’ as directed by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).

This means residents will be able to move freely on their own floors.

The safety, health and well-being of residents continues to be paramount and our vigilance remains. Zone segregation, infection control and hand hygiene protocols practiced for months now will continue. Staff will continue to wear masks at work.

We have been truly blessed during this challenging time with the genuine and unwavering support of so many in the local Westmeadows community and for this we say: ‘thank you’.

We would like to thank our residents and their families for their support and understanding during this time.  We would like to thank the various Australian and Victorian departments, Northern Health and the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission for their support.

This partnership with our local community, Victorian healthcare services, Victorian and Australian governments and all our partners has been critical over this period.
