Home Help facilitates social connections
Jim was a teacher for over 40 years and an avid historian, but showed signs of forgetfulness, which later became worse as a result of dementia.
Through Baptcare’s Home Care packages, Jim has been able to get his finances and other aspects of his life organised, empowering him to continue making positive contributions to the community. In addition to this, he has been able to forge new social connections, after his care advisor linked him to a local coffee club.
This has also eased the burden on Jim’s sister, as she is no longer worried about her brother living on his own.
Jim now has a more positive outlook towards life and tackles challenges with a sense of humour.
