Golf Day record aids Sanctuary

Baptcare were proud to recently host our 11th Annual Charity Golf Day at Huntingdale Golf Course.

With all proceeds from the event going to our Sanctuary program, the day is key to help raise much-needed funds focusing on providing aid for Sanctuary's transitional accommodation and related support services. These services aid in empowering homeless people seeking asylum and enable them to move towards living an independent life within the Australian community.

The day saw over 114 players register to play and an outstanding amount of $118,500 raised.

A big thank you to our golf day principal sponsor, CHT Architects who together with 13 other corporate sponsors were able to spread the message about our Sanctuary program through their generous support.

Our corporate sponsors included hole sponsors Clarke Hopkins Clarke, TPG Telecom, Harris HMC, Andy Andersons Commercial Cleaning, Data #3, Camberwell Toyota, Laundry Solutions, McArthur Management, Programmed Property Services, VIP Plumbing and Telstra, our longest drive sponsor Hamlan Homes, and the nearest pin competition sponsor Grant Thornton. A special mention to all the players who registered; without you all, our Golf Day wouldn't be the fun and successful day that it is.

The winning team on the day was EBOS Healthcare (Scott Evans, John Matthews, Andrew Pickering, Sue Tetley), with the team from WT Partnerships (Gavin Balharrie, Russell Brandreth, Andrew Van Meel) coming a close runner up.

We extend our congratulations to everyone who competed on the day, and once again thank our sponsors, event supporters, players and contributors to the day.
