Volunteering

Baptcare’s volunteers share a common trait: the commitment to supporting a stranger in need.

Our volunteers come from all walks of life and include retirees, students seeking work experience, part-time workers, stay at home parents and highly skilled professionals.

As a volunteer, you are empowered to use your skills in various capacities including visiting clients who live in isolation, designing and implementing fundraising initiatives, supporting craft and art groups at our residential sites, home visits, assisting with transport, administration duties and spending time with individuals who are in search of friendship.

Baptcare is looking for passionate and caring volunteers for the following programs:

Home-Start

If you have parenting skills, enjoy being around children and would like to support a local family, join Baptcare’s Home-Start volunteer program.

As a volunteer, your role will involve:

  • Providing emotional support and friendship to a local family.
  • Offering advice about parenting strategies.
  • Playing with children.
  • Transport assistance, specifically for families needing to attend appointments.
