Volunteering for Baptcare
Baptcare welcomes community support through its volunteer programs in Residential and Community Aged Care Services, Abercare Family Services, Aged Care Day Centres and Bargain Browser retail stores.
Residential Aged Care encourages volunteers to interact with its residents via a friendly visit or craft/activity session.
Community Aged Care volunteers are primarily focussed on visiting isolated clients in their own homes to have a chat, go for a walk or an outing.
Volunteers in our Aged Care Day Centres provide fun and friendship to clients and make their days spent at the centres very special and something to look forward to.
All Baptcare’s residents and clients are uplifted by these visits and look forward to seeing their special friend for a visit and also to be updated about their community, one they may have lost contact with.
The Bargain Browser retail stores provide necessary funding to support Abercare Family Services. Abercare Family Services also has a range of programs that need volunteers who provide much needed support and assistance.
If you have the drive and commitment to make a person’s day special or would like to assist Baptcare in its fundraising efforts, then Baptcare would welcome your enquiry. Please call the Co-ordinator of Volunteer Services on (03) 9831 7222 or email volunteering@baptcare.org.au
