Seeding grants for Baptist congregations in Victoria

On Friday the 9^th of May, Baptcare held its first presentation on the new seeding grants program, which makes grants of up to $10,000 available to congregations of the Baptist Union of Victoria.

While representatives of Metropolitan Churches of Melbourne enjoyed a two course meal, Chief Executive Jeff Davey and Community Ministries Coordinator Gordon Wild explained the opportunities available to Churches.

Funding will be given to projects or programs addressing poverty and disadvantage and will complement existing church pastoral care activities.

Responses from Churches were very positive and Baptcare is looking forward to receiving applications to fund exciting new projects that will assist local communities.

Baptcare is now seeking applications. Closing dates for 2008 funding rounds are May 30^th, August 30^th and November 30^th.
