There are eight newly constructed independent living units still available at Baptcare Karingal Community for elderly members of the community seeking to retain their independence while receiving some extra support.

Currently 14 of the 22 units have been sold to community members. The new development boasts a variety of features including an activity centre equipped for watching movies, playing bowls and music sessions. Residents also have access to an on-site hairdresser and coffee shop.

The spacious two bedroom units feature a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, quality carpets and drapes, separate laundry, gas log fire, private courtyard and a garage with remote controlled doors.

“The expansion of Baptcare Karingal Community is a significant investment for Baptcare, and reflects our commitment to providing for the growing needs of our ageing population. We are grateful to have the opportunity to care for a larger number of elderly Tasmanians,” said Baptcare’s Chief Executive, Mr Jeff Davey.

For further information, including making a booking to visit the facility, contact Independent Living Unit Manager, Vicki Jeffery, on 0439 039 710.

Baptcare Karingal Community is one of the few residential aged care homes within northern Tasmania and is one of the largest providers of independent living units.
