Baptcare received two awards out of a possible six from Victoria’s aged care peak body, Aged and Community Care Victoria (ACCV), in ACCV’s ‘Awards for Excellence’.
Baptcare achieved top honours in both the Organisation Award and the Employee Award.
The Organisation Award recognises the organisation that demonstrated exemplary leadership, innovation and service excellence.
Organisations could be nominated in any of the following areas: people management, customer service, training, stakeholder communications, technology or environment. Baptcare was nominated for its commitment to people management and training, including our employee benefits program and training programs.
The Employee Award recognises the dedication and contribution of an individual employee in the delivery of services to older people and people with a disability. To be eligible, the employee had to have excelled in care provision and demonstrated commitment and dedication.
Mr Brad Cooper, Baptcare’s Community Packages Program Manager for the Eastern Metropolitan region, received this award. Brad was nominated for his leadership, passion and innovation, which have driven significant change in the delivery of care for Baptcare’s clients and across the wider aged care industry. Brad’s commitment to practice-improvement through skills development to meet client needs was also recognised.
Baptcare’s Chief Executive, Mr Jeff Davey, was thrilled with the results.
“To receive the Organisation Award is a fantastic honour. It reflects the dedication that each of our people display in their daily work. I extend my personal thanks to all our employees for their role in helping individuals in our care to live richer lives, whether in a support capacity in an office, or in a direct care role. These awards confirm Baptcare’s place amongst the industry’s leading providers of caring services,” Mr Davey said.
The awards were judged by an independent panel including representatives from Hesta Super Fund, Cambridge Integrated Services, the Australian Ageing Agenda, Health Super and Victoria University.
