Karana, Hedley Sutton, Karingal and Westhaven Communities have successfully completed their accreditation audits in February, April and May.
The four facilities were found to be compliant in all 44 outcome areas across the four accreditation standards, which has resulted in the maximum three years’ accreditation for the facilities.
The categories in which Baptcare exceeded expectations included the communication between staff, residents and families, the knowledge of organisational systems and policies, compliance with infection control guidelines and the positive feedback from residents and relatives about the level of individualised care. The auditors were also full of praise for the lifestyle programs offered at the facilities.
Baptcare’s Chief Executive, Mr Jeff Davey, said the positive outcomes are testament to the dedication and passion of staff members to constantly providing the best possible personalised care to all residents.
“We are thrilled by the positive outcomes as the accreditation process can be quite difficult and stressful. It’s a proud moment for Baptcare and it is thanks to the dedication and commitment of the staff, who always go beyond the call of duty, that we have achieved this exciting outcome,” Mr Davey said.
Baptcare’s remaining three facilities, Strathalan, St Hilary’s and Northaven Communities are being assessed for accreditation next year.
