Extended Aged Care at Home (EACH) Packages

Extended Aged Care at Home (EACH) packages are individually planned and coordinated packages of care, tailored to help frail older Australians to remain living at home with daily assistance.
Extended Aged Care at Home packages are very flexible and depend on the complexity of each individual's needs. Generally, a person who requires high level care could be eligible for an EACH package.
The types of services that may be provided include help with:
- registered nursing care
- care by an allied health professional such as a physiotherapist, podiatrist or other type of allied health care
- personal care
- social support
- home help
- social activities
It is important to know that the services Baptcare provides can change, as care needs change.
An individual may be offered an EACH package if there are packages available in the area where the frail older person lives and the person has:
- been assessed by an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) as needing high level care;
- expressed a preference to be cared for at home.
ACAT assessments are free of charge. Find the Aged Care Assessment Team nearest to you.
Care recipients may be asked to pay a fee for an Extended Aged Care at Home Package of care. The amount charged forms part of an agreement between the recipient and the service provider and follows guidelines set by the Commonwealth Government.
