Our Patron

The Honourable Dame Margaret Guilfoyle AC DBE

The Honourable Dame Margaret Guilfoyle AC DBEDame Margaret Guilfoyle has been a dedicated patron and ambassador of Baptcare for a number of years.

In 1976, Dame Margaret was the first Australian woman to be appointed to a Cabinet portfolio when she became Minister for Social Security in the Fraser Government.

She has generously given up her time to represent Baptcare and promote the essence of what it does. Dame Margaret has often taken the time out of her busy schedule to visit individual sites, meet the residents, host patron dinners and attend celebratory events. She has passionately promoted fundraising appeals, helping Baptcare to obtain much-needed community support.

Baptcare is both honoured and proud to have Dame Margaret as a Patron for its work.
