You can help break the cycle of violence & despair
“All you want to do is to protect your grandchildren, but it becomes way more complex than that…” – Mary, Kinship Carer.
Kinship carers are subjected to violence on a daily basis, sadly with minimal aid and support. Their lives are drastically changed, and with most carers being grandparents, it takes a toll on their health, mentally and physically.
Please help us support grandparents and kinship carers alike, who experience violence, abuse and trauma daily. Your gift can ensure they may have a brighter Christmas morning to share with their family.
Here is just one example of someone you will be helping:
Mary is grandmother to Lyla. She is one of our kinship carers, and carers like her have experienced violence in 9 out of 10 cases. Mary also has experienced abuse from her granddaughter.
People like Mary, are doing their best to give their grandchildren the best opportunity at life, yet struggle with the necessities like school fees.
Please help Baptcare give support to more people in need with your tax deductible gift.
- $100 purchases pamper packs for elderly carers
- $25 buys a toy for a toddler
- $200 provides counselling
- $500 sends a child on camp.
We hope you can give a gift this Christmas, so we can help more people like Mary.
