Supported accommodation for asylum seekers

Baptcare Sanctuary provides supported transitional accommodation for male asylum seekers living lawfully in the community awaiting the outcome of their application for a Protection visa.

Residents at Baptcare Sanctuary have been forced to flee their homeland under the threat of persecution because of their race, religion, political beliefs or ethnicity. Many are survivors of torture, all are survivors of trauma and unimaginable emotional distress.

The facility current houses 28 men at a time. Each resident has access to a broad range of services including on-site case management, spiritual care, social activity groups, English lessons, material aid and free legal advice via other organisations.
