If you, or someone you care for, requires treatment and rehabilitation, then Baptcare’s day therapy centres may be able to assist you.
Our centres offer a range of tailored support services to older people including podiatry, physiotherapy and occupational therapy. These services are delivered by a multidisciplinary team who are committed to improving health outcomes, particularly for those with chronic conditions.
Day therapy aims to:
- Maximise independence in activities of daily living
- Promote health and wellbeing
- Promote self-management of physical conditions
Who is eligible?
Older people and people with a disability who live at home or receive low level care in a residential aged care home. Attendance can be arranged by referral through a doctor, health professional, carer or family member or by the individual requiring care.
Locations
Baptcare’s day therapy centres are located in Kew, Macleod and Sunshine and individuals from all surrounding areas are welcome to attend.
Transport
Clients are encouraged to make their own arrangements, but if you require support with organising transport, your Care Manager will look after this for you.
Costs
There is a small charge per visit. Fees can be waived in cases of financial hardship. For confidential advice, please contact the day therapy centre in your area.
