Baptcare welcomes historic pay increase for staff

Baptcare welcomes Fair Work Australia’s decision to implement significant pay rises for those working in the community sector workforce, which will directly support Baptcare’s employees.

“This is a great recognition of the value of the skilled community sector workforce who every day, strive to improve the lives of some of the most vulnerable in our community. Baptcare is proud to have a passionate and dedicated workforce who made the decision to work for Baptcare because they know they will be changing the lives of those most in need,” said Baptcare’s Chief Executive, Mr Jeff Davey.

Baptcare is proud to have a highly driven workforce of over 1,200 employees including social workers, personal care assistants and nurses. Our employees are at the heart of the goal to ‘bring care to life’; this significant outcome will ensure that our people continue to receive the support they need to deliver the best possible care.

Baptcare will work closely with the Australian Government to ensure the pay increases can be adequately funded over the required period.

At Baptcare, we seek to empower our employees to use their passion and skills to make a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable people across Victoria and Tasmania.
